Jamaica has 28 endemic bird species. Of these, 22 have been seen right here on our property, and their distinct calls in the morning are varied and striking. A list of birds seen at Goblin Hill prepared by the Jamaican Birdwatching Society is available at the Reception desk.
You need go no further than our Terrace or pool for frequent sightings of several hummingbird species hovering at our feeders—most spectacularly, the magnificent indigenous Doctor Bird, symbol of Jamaica, with its long, twin, streamer-like, iridescent tail-feathers.
For birders, we organize excursions led by official JCDT rangers (Jamaican Conservation &Development Trust, in charge of the National parks) to some of the most famous bird watching spots in the island, nearby.
